Brian asked me today if I was getting tired of lying on the beach and reading...my response? Of course not!
It's a little piece of heaven here. There is nothing like the beach to me. The sound of the waves, the warm gentle wind, the sun....it's inspiration to me. It reminds me of things I have forgotten in my busyness. It reminds me of who I am and who I want to be.
With my toes at the water's edge, I am reminded of how small I am and how big our God is.
It's a good place to be.
This was my view today.
Thanks to a good friend, I'm reading an incredible (possibly life changing) book while listening to those waves called The Circle Maker: Praying Circles Around your Biggest Dreams and Greatest Fears by Mark Batterson. I highly recommend it. I can't put it down.
Brian started the day at a local Dominican school with lots of other Scentsy consultants. They painted, sorted school supplies, and played with the kids. Since there was oil based paint involved and lots of fumes, it was a good thing I didn't go. (My doctor wanted me to stay on the resort.) (Pictures to come tomorrow.)
We ate dinner tonight at a steak house and then headed to the ice cream shop. Then it was on to the Hard Rock Casino to Thunder up.
You can't miss anything with all these TVs.
Then it was time for a preggo pic. We lined up in order of due dates and took our picture with Kevin Durant in the background in true Thunder fashion.
And the side shot.
And then the dads-to-be had to show off their baby bellies as well. So precious isn't it?
Another fun day in paradise. One more to go. I can't wait.
